Rewards and Achievement at South Wolds
At South Wolds, we are committed to recognising and celebrating the achievements of our students.
Our reward system is designed to align with and promote our core school values: Work Hard, Be Kind, and Aspire. These values underpin all aspects of our students' learning and development.
Students are awarded achievement points through Class Charts by their teachers for demonstrating consistent effort, progress, and a positive attitude towards their learning. These points are awarded in recognition of our values, ensuring that all students are celebrated for both academic and personal growth.
To further recognise outstanding achievement, we hold a half-termly achievement assembly. During this event, students are presented with certificates and prizes for exceptional accomplishments throughout that half-term.
In addition to this, we organise reward and celebration activities within individual year groups. These events provide further opportunities to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work, kindness, and aspirations of our students, ensuring that every student’s achievements are valued.
We believe that through this system of rewards and recognition, we encourage students to continue to strive for excellence in all that they do.
In addition to our regular reward activities, we host special events to recognise the exceptional achievements of our students. One such event is the Year 11 and Sixth Form Awards Evening, which takes place at a nearby venue. This evening celebrates students who go above and beyond in demonstrating our core values of achievement, kindness, and aspiration.
We also hold a termly Headteacher’s Breakfast, where selected students are invited to enjoy breakfast in the library with the Headteacher and members of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a valuable opportunity for staff to personally celebrate student success and further strengthen the sense of community within our school.
